My ideal client is thoughtful, self-aware, and tired of surface-level work. A sense of dark humour is a bonus. They may have complex trauma, multiple diagnoses, justice involvement, or a history of difficult relationships. Many worry they are “too much” or that therapy hasn’t worked before. They want clarity, emotional regulation, accountability, and real change — not just venting. They are ready to examine patterns, build skills, and understand the “why” behind their reactions so they can move differently in the world. If swearing bugs you, we may not be a good fit.

Are you searching for someone you truly connect with—someone safe enough to share your struggles? Maybe you’ve looked for support but find it hard to meet your deeper self fully so change can happen. If you’re done overthinking and want real relief and lasting shifts inside, depth work might be your answer. Lasting change comes from knowing yourself deeply and addressing what’s beneath the surface.

Many of the people I work with struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, self-criticism, or long-standing habits that keep them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. They are thoughtful, sensitive, and often hard on themselves. They want to feel more at ease in their bodies, more present in their relationships, and less driven by constant pressure to manage, fix, or perform. Underneath it all, they are looking for a steadier sense of ease and more confidence in how they move through life.

Accepting New Clients (July 2026): You're a highly sensitive person who people-pleases, has a hard time setting boundaries, and struggles to regulate big emotions. You have read the self-help books, podcasts, tried meditation, journaling, exercise, clean eating, watched all the therapy Instagram reels - maybe you even tried therapy before, but you felt like you were just talking about your problems. You need somebody to help you actually PROCESS what’s going on, not just listen. You need somebody who can hold you accountable to making real change in your life, and (lovingly) call you on your shit

I believe that a nurturing and safe environment cultivates healing and growth. As such, I approach my work from a compassionate, open, and curious stance so that I can understand my client's inner world and meet them where they are at. The relationship that I offer is gentle, caring, and non-judgmental.

Are you a sensitive, responsible person who often puts others’ needs ahead of your own -especially when it comes to your parents or family? You might seem fine on the outside, but inside, you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and burned out. You’ve probably tried all the usual things: journaling, meditation, going to the gym, reading self-help books, talking to friends. Maybe even therapy. But nothing really sticks, and the stress keeps creeping back in. You not just looking for another quick fix, you’re ready to understand what’s really behind all of this. You want to unpack old patterns, get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck

The ultimate goal of therapy is to empower the client(s) to use their inner strength to reach life's fullest potential. Counselling is an important tool when a person(s) is experiencing difficulties which are affecting their quality of life. Often making life changes can be extremely fear provoking, causing insecurity in people, and especially for those who lack coping strategies when dealing with life's stressful events. My goal is to provide confidential and supportive help during these trying times, to help you to have the best potential outcome.

We all experience difficult seasons—times when we feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of how to cope. You may hesitate to open up to loved ones for fear of burdening them or being misunderstood. Therapy offers a space that’s just for you: safe, supportive, and free of judgment. It’s a space to release what you’ve been carrying, gain insight, develop new skills, and move toward the life you want. I work with a mix of populations from seniors, adults, youth and couples experiencing conflict and fertility treatments, as well as new mothers going through postpartum depression and families navigating dynamics.

ADHD, ODD, anxiety, trauma — school avoidance, meltdowns, another call from school, another classroom evacuation. I see your child, and I mean truly - I see your pain too. Their fire is safe with me. I adore wonderfully wired, beautifully complex humans — I am one too. I jive with intensity of all kinds. Pull up a chair (or exercise ball). Amherstburg, Lasalle & Windsor-Essex — kids, parents & growing adults, you belong here. Do they hear "Bad" hushed but in reach of their super ears? or maybe old wounds has you still playing "what is WRONG with me" on repeat — if any of this is part of your world, I got you. Nobody here is broken.

You've probably spent years wondering why everything feels harder for you than for everyone else. Burnout that doesn't go away with a vacation. Relationships that exhaust you. A brain that won't cooperate. If you're autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD (especially late dx) I get it. Not just clinically. I'm neurodivergent too, and I've done this work myself. That's why I know that standard therapy often doesn't fit our brains. Which is why everything I do is built around what actually works for you. You can book a free meet and greet to see if this is the right fit. Available Mondays through Saturdays, virtually serving all of Ontario.

Are you intelligent, "type-A", with a million things always on the go? On the outside you appear to have "made it", but on the inside your anxiety is crippling. You wonder if you have ADHD, you're working on 100 things at once, never seeming to be able to slow down until you crash (and then beat yourself up for resting). You start to wonder if you're depressed. Why does it feel like you're on such a roller coaster of emotions? You've tried journaling, meditating, maybe even medication or therapy, but you still feel stuck. You know you need to "love yourself", but you don't know how to actually DO that

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

Most Counsellors and Psychotherapists listed in the directory are certified by one of the main professional associations, mainly the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and will have a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) designation with their name. Social Workers listed in the directory must be registered members of the college specific to their province. To be listed in the directory, Psychologists must be registered with the psychological college specific to their province or territory.

Providers whose professional membership or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Given the considerable variation in professional regulation and prerequisites across Canadian provinces, some providers may possess significant professional qualifications without necessarily holding professional memberships or being obliged to acquire them. As a result, they may be selectively included without the "Verified" seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?

Psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists and social workers can all provide counselling or talking therapy and have credentials and supervised, practical experience that enable them to do so in Canada.

Psychologists have a master's and/or doctoral degree and have passed both written and oral exams. Psychologists are able to complete mental health assessments and provide diagnostic information to clients as well as provide counselling therapy or psychotherapy. Counsellors and psychotherapists are expected to have a master's or doctoral degree in counselling psychology, social work, or a related mental health discipline and certification by a professional association, such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Registered Social Workers possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work and where possible must be licensed or certified by the provincial government and/or regulatory college.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, the cost of a therapy session in Canada could be between $100 and $200. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

If you are struggling to access therapy due to budget constraints, you could also consider public funded mental health services. Some types of outpatient mental health services are covered by Medicare, provided these are performed by a licensed mental health professional in the provinces or territory you reside in and who accepts the assignment.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postal code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Professionals licensed by regulatory colleges and those certified by associations such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association are obligated to uphold client confidentiality unless there is a legal reason that requires them to disclose information. Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship and only under specific circumstances, such as when there is the potential or known harm to the client or others, or a court order, will a therapist be obligated to break the agreement. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed during the initial consultation.
