Our earliest relationships shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world. When childhood trauma, emotional neglect, or disconnection occurs, it can impact us well into adulthood—affecting self-esteem, boundaries, relationships, and emotional regulation.
You might feel stuck in patterns like people-pleasing, shutting down in conflict, or feeling anxious in close relationships. These aren’t personal failures—they’re trauma responses your nervous system developed to survive.
As a trauma therapist, I offer a safe, culturally sensitive, and client-centered space to help you explore these patterns at your own pace.

Things seem pretty awful right now, and you're wondering if you'll ever feel "okay". You're looking for someone who can listen without judgement, help you learn new coping skills, and create a plan to feel better. I believe that every person lives a life with unique challenges and that providing personalized care requires unique solutions. A "cookie cutter" approach simply won't work - instead, we will get to know one-another, and create a plan to help you feel better together. You deserve to be seen as an individual with a unique therapeutic approach that fits who you are, and who you want to be.

As a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer counselling services to adult clients, on an individual basis or as a couple. There are many different concerns that I can help clients process, including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, women's issues, and life transitions. There are no pre-requisites to counselling; I will work to meet clients where they are at on their journey and help them process from there. Depending on the concerns, I have a strong network of resources (both community and other professionals) that we can access if necessary.

Hello! I am a Registered Psychotherapist with 15 years of experience providing counselling and psychotherapy services to a diverse, adult population. As an adjunct clinical professor, I supervised and trained junior colleagues and student therapists for over 5 years. Finding a therapist you "click with" is one of the best predictors of positive outcome in therapy. I value getting to know who you are aside from your presenting concerns and developing a genuine, human connection. Using evidence-based practice, I will pull from different models of therapy to tailor my approach to your specific needs and who you are as a person.

Therapy shouldn't feel like a chore. While it might sometimes be hard to hear what is discussed in therapy, overall you should leave feeling like you've gained something useful or even transformative. Over time, you should feel you are getting stronger, more resilient and have shed layers of fear and anxiety. Of course this process can be overwhelming at times and you might not always progress on the timeframe that you thought you would, but when therapy goes well, you should feel more settled and more clear about your life. You should gain understanding about yourself and others and have a renewed sense of purpose and passion

You’ve read the tips, set the reminders, made the lists—but you’re still overwhelmed, distracted, and struggling to follow through. You might feel anxious, discouraged, or stuck in patterns that are hard to shift. These challenges are real—and it’s okay to seek support that helps you manage both the emotional toll and day-to-day demands.

We learn how to be in this world and be a person from the moment we are born. When we are struggling, suffering, and facing challenges in our lives - whether it is anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, overwhelm, or things we wish we could change - it’s because we've adopted ways of being that are now habits that can be difficult to alter. But we are whole, just as we are! We grow in changing how we respond to ourselves and the experiences and events in our lives. Having someone to walk alongside you on the journey as you learn which habits or outdated beliefs no longer work can support you as you make changes.

As human beings we may feel lost/stuck due to painful or challenging life experiences. This can impact our ability to live our lives fully. I am passionate about working with individuals who have concerns around stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, relationships, grief, and life transitions/work-life balance. Support may look different for each person, while some may want to focus on building coping strategies, others may seek a deeper healing process. One of our first steps will be building awareness of your needs, the change you want in your life and identifying your goals to make this change possible.
