Salam! We're so glad you've made your way to our profile. Wondering if we are a good fit for you in a sea of therapists? Our passion is help the Muslim woman who has known for a while that she needs a shift and change in her life but has felt lost about where to go for guidance and support. You may feel disconnected from the mosque and find that non-Muslim therapists don’t quite understand you.
Our approach is heart centred, evidence-based, culturally humble, trauma informed and anti-colonial. We are not only experts, but we also bring in our own lived experiences, having been through our own personal challenges and battles.
We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach. We meet with clients one-on-one, complete a thorough assessment and use an integrated approach. We draw from different modalities and incorporate both talk therapy and somatic (body-based) techniques into our interventions - CBT, DBT, EFT, EMDR, IFS, SFT, etc. We can provide both brief and longterm therapy.
Optional - Clients can request Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (please see our website for detail). Incorporating faith into sessions requires permission from the client and also great wisdom on the part of the therapist.
To see if any of our therapists are a good match, we encourge you to connect with us through a free consultation.
