About
Seeking supports can be scary and stressful, so congratulations on having the courage to take the first step. I think counselling works best when it is flexible, inclusive and involves collaboration between individuals. That means tailoring therapy to each client so that we can best address your unique needs. I specialize in working with adults and couples and have experience working with a wide range of issues, challenges, and lived experiences. Whether you want to learn to manage anxiety that has become too much or start communicating more effectively with your partner, change is always possible and there is hope.
In a counselling environment, I tend to work from a person-centered, solution-focused approach. I believe in adopting a strength-based perspective to shift focus from problems to solutions, foster hope and empower individuals towards positive change. I also use techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and the Gottman Method.
I strive to build positive, respectful, and open therapeutic relationships that can help create the foundation for exploration and growth. You are the expert of your own story and my hope is that therapy is a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and that we can work together to help you reach your goals.
