I support people who are struggling with the impact of trauma in their daily lives. Past traumatic experiences such as sexual abuse and violence, domestic violence, or abuse and neglect in childhood can wreak havoc on an individual’s life and relationships in the present. Other times, new experiences can unexpectedly trigger unhealed wounds. The good news is that people are resilient and can overcome these challenges. I believe that everyone can heal. In therapy, I will support you to connect with your inner resources and strength to rewrite the story of your past and heal from it.
I am a master’s level registered social worker with experience supporting individuals facing trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD. I have extensive training in trauma therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Using these tools, I have a strong track record of helping clients develop coping strategies and process trauma.
My approach in therapy is rooted in deep appreciation for the many ways that individuals survive traumatic experiences and cope in their aftermath. Confronting past traumas can be daunting, so I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment to support clients in their healing journeys. It would be an honour to walk alongside you through this process.
