Life can sometimes feel like a rough sea and counselling can help you navigate the turbulent waters. It is my goal to provide a space where you can work through challenging issues and provide support to navigate these areas of your life. I will support you by acknowledging your unique experiences and struggles with life circumstances, inviting you to explore new ways of coping. It is my belief that connecting to the body, using techniques such as breathing, noticing sensations, and recognizing how sensations are linked to feelings often provides insight and are powerful resources to work through emotions.
Some of the therapeutic practices I use are solution focused, cognitive behaviour therapy, emotion focused therapy, self regulation therapy, and mindfulness. My training and background, allow me to support you to make sense of your experience and to help you develop resources to better traverse the sea of life.
I am a registered clinical counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (registration # 4006). I have worked for over 15 years in a variety of counselling settings. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Certificate in Substance Abuse Counselling, and Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology
