At our three MindKey Health locations (Downtown Victoria, Westshore, and Sidney) we provide psychoeducational, autism, and adult ADHD assessments. We also provide counselling and coaching services on a variety of issues to a broad spectrum of clients. Children, teens, and adults are all welcome in the MindKey Health offices.
Treating children, teens, and adults, our team aims to meet people where they are at and provide excellent care. Our seven-point clinical compass guides our values and mission. The points include: Start early: prevention is always more effective than intervention. Unconditional love: for children to grow up to be secure adults they need to experience love without conditions. To practice this as a clinician, we always view clients from a hopeful lens and show up with encouragement and kindness. Stay current: best practice involves being up to date with research and trends. This also refers to paying attention to client needs and showing up authentically in session. Set smart boundaries: upholding professional and personal boundaries to avoid burnout and teaching this importance to clients. Nurture relationships: we exist within a collective and honouring our fellowship is important to community building and resiliency. Lose stigma and prejudices: working to destigmatize mental health all while upholding the dignity and uniqueness of others. Build resilience: Stacking protective factors to buffer against trauma and risk factors is key.
