I am a registered social worker who was brought to therapeutic work through my own process of understanding how to authentically connect to our selves, our bodies and others in the midst of healing from relational trauma. With trauma and loss having been prominent aspects of my life, I am familiar with how the impacts of these experiences act as barriers to connection and repair.
My approach is emotions-focused and relational. I use these methods to support my clients in learning about their inner worlds without judgement and to model what relational safety should feel like. In my work with couples, I am passionate about facilitating empathy, connection and teaching individuals how to be in conflict with one another.
While we will move through harder moments together, I tend to laugh a lot with my clients and offer some light heartedness to a space that can feel overwhelming. As a therapist, I am curious, I love to ask questions and want the individuals I work with to feel my openness to their experiences. Please reach out!
