As a therapist, my theoretical approach integrates Interpersonal theory, Person Centered theory, Cognitive Theory, Attachment theory and Family Systems theory. My main model of therapy comes from Edward Teyber's book "The Interpersonal Process in Psychotherapy: A Relational Approach", which I integrate with CBT, CPT for PTSD, DBT, Art Therapy, and a variety of other models and interventions that fit for clients and their specific needs. I consider myself Feminist theory informed and trauma informed at all times. My specialization tends to be attachment, trauma, complex trauma, and interpersonal relationships.
As an Approved Clinical Supervisor I specialize in providing clinical supervision for verbal therapists, art therapists, and expressive arts therapists working from a variety of theoretical perspectives and models. I have clinically supervised child and youth, indigenous, adult, concurrent disorders, family, and postgraduate student counselling programs.
