Hello! I am a graduate practicum student completing a Master of Counselling Applied Psychology degree. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Addiction Counselling and have accumulated seven years of experience in the addiction and mental health fields. In addition to my work as an Addiction Counsellor, I am a sessional lecturer at the University of Lethbridge and have completed additional professional development training including EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 & 2, and I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, emphasizing the importance of attachment patterns and life experiences. I incorporate therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, EFT, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation. I have experience with individuals, couples, addiction, ADHD, anxiety, compulsive behaviours, and grief/loss.
I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to address and explore their challenges, underlying issues, and concerns. My goal is to facilitate understanding and personal growth, helping clients achieve balance in their lives as they define it.
