My goal as a counsellor is to provide a warm and safe environment for clients which will allow them to develop a feeling of effectiveness and an ability to cope with life's challenges. This will allow them to identify their personal goals and maximize their potential. I have been working with children, adolescents and families for over 20 years. I have an extensive understanding of the BC school system and the factors which influence a student's emotional, social and academic well being. I am also well trained and very experienced working with adults - individuals and couples.
One of my strengths is helping families navigate the school system. In my role as coordinator of Counselling & Behaviour Support I developed successful individualized plans for neurodiverse, anxious and learning disabled students as well as students with weak executive skills. If your child is struggling at school I can help .

I moved to Canada 30 years ago so I have a great deal of compassion and understanding for clients who have had to adapt to a new country and culture. I also come from a family of gifted & anxious learners so I'm well equipped to help clients deal with these challenges.
