Mike is a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years experience working with divorce, separation, mediation, and high conflict families. He is a specialized Child & Adolescent/Young Adult Psychologist. He has experience conducting mental health, addiction, Borderline Personality Disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, Custody & Access assessments, and counselling both 'high risk' youth and adults. He is a certified and experienced DBT therapist, and practices Reality, Narrative, and Client Centred paradigms. He is courteous, respectful & open minded.
He provides both Court related and non-Court related supports: Mediation, individual counseling for parents and children, Parenting Coordination, Coaching, and parenting plan development. Judicial litigation support involves: Court ordered parenting coordination, Practice Note 7 assessments, Voice of Child reports, Guardianship assessments, Parenting Assessments (Children's Services), and prepping for Court/Trial and psychological assessments
Mike worked in emergency rooms, Alberta Health Services and independent practice. He has worked in the Courtroom for Alberta Justice and has taught the Focus on Communication(FOCIS) and Parenting After Separation(PAS) course for 13 years. He is considered an Evaluative Mediator and has a realistic and common sense perspective
