My name is Mikaela Grigg and I am a Master’s level Registered Social Worker with over ten years of experience working in the field. I have gone on to complete additional specialized training regarding trauma treatment, perinatal mental health, therapeutic play, and attachment-based therapies, including my EMDR Parent-Child Attachment Specialist Certification. I approach the therapeutic relationship as a partnership and healing as a journey, recognizing that you are expert and in charge of the destination while I am here to walk beside you, offering guidance, tools and support in healing.
Some of my areas of practice include trauma, with a speciality in attachment or relational trauma, reparenting, grief and loss, anxiety, body image, perinatal mental health, identity, chronic illness, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harm and burnout. I provide therapeutic supports to adults, youth, children and families.
I also have a great deal of experience and enjoy working with parents/caregivers with challenges that accompany parenting.
