At times, we feel weighed down by sadness, anxiety, shame, a harsh inner critic, or not feeling “good enough”. This can sometimes occur with people pleasing, perfectionism, chronic worry, or unreasonably high self-standards. Are you a high performer, artist, athlete, dancer (or former)? Has a life transition or loss left you feeling overwhelmed? I strive to help folks like you to build a more compassionate and loving self-relationship, to process difficult life experiences, and to learn more effective coping tools to manage anxiety, mood, and stress symptoms that can get in the way of living our lives fully.
I work with creative people, high performers, deep thinkers and feelers, athletes, those struggling with high standards, and related feelings of anxiety, depression, and chronic stress. I also support those coping with grief, loss, and trauma. My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and neuroscience-informed.
My primary goal as your therapist will be making sure you feel heard and understood for your unique feelings and experiences. I will listen with non-judgement, respect your autonomy and move at your pace. I can bring in curiosity, metaphors, psycho-education, and humour. If you think we may be a good fit, I welcome you reaching out for a free 15-30 minutes.
