Suffering is a part of life. It is something we all have in common, yet can feel so alone and isolated in. It can present in many ways, whether it been through depression, anxiety, anger, and it can impact many areas of our lives such as activities of daily living, our ability to function socially and cognitively, and our adaptability to stress. For some, being resilient in the face of struggle comes naturally whereas for others, this is something we must actively work towards. Through the therapeutic process, I strive to help you to uncover your own resiliency and inner strength to persevere in the face of struggle.
My approach to therapy can be described as holistic and client-centred, meaning that I look at each person as a whole while viewing my clients as the experts of their own lives. I offer a safe and empowering space to explore presenting concerns (as well as areas of strength!) by conveying support, trust, respect, open-mindedness, and empathy.
If it sounds like we might be a good fit in embarking on this journey together, I encourage you to contact New Roots Therapy so we can work toward building that resiliency and living life to its fullest. I can't wait to meet you!
