About
I've been both the client and the therapist, and I believe strongly in the power of the therapeutic connection. It is an hour just for you; a space to find your voice, understand yourself, get out of your own way. This is what I offer my clients - a relationship where we work together in exploring what is going on for you, take the time to develop trust and tolerance for challenge, and where *everything* is open for discussion. My style is both direct and playful, curious and open-minded. I love working with clients who are ready for change, even if they don't know exactly what that might look like.
Before becoming a therapist I was a chiropractor for 20 years. Gestalt therapy has opened my eyes to what I always sensed - the mind and body are not separate entities. I'm fascinated in the body as a truth teller, and paying attention to body language is a skill I bring to my work. Together, let's 'lose our minds and come to our senses'.
I held onto a therapist's business card for years before reaching out - I understand that taking this step can feel huge and scary. Finding the right therapist is so important, and yet is also a leap of faith. If your gut says that we might be a good fit for one another, I invite you to reach out and see.
