As we move through life, we develop familiar ways of coping. Some phases of life bring challenges that begin to exceed our ability to handle them using our regular coping strategies. Emotional ups and downs, outbursts of anger, withdrawing or relationship conflicts can be some of the clues that your coping strategies are overwhelmed. You might also notice disorganization, anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, overthinking or a racing mind that makes it hard to rest or sleep even when you have time to take a break. You may be quite hard on yourself, and if you feel criticised or misunderstood by others it can add fuel to the fire.
I help clients build the inner stability, confidence and skills to cope with challenges in a sustainable, healthy way. Together we identify the goals that can move you towards a life that is meaningful, functional and satisfying. I take a collaborative and client-centered approach, drawing on training in Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Focusing and IFS.
If you've been dedicated to trying to make everything work on your own for a long time, it's already a step towards change to reach out and try a different way. It's possible to feel capable, valuable and able to navigate relationships well, and I'd be honoured to work with you on that journey. Please reach out with any questions or to book a free consult.

Dreamweaving

Have you ever woken up with only one weird image that you remember from your dreams? Dreamweaving is a group dreamwork process developed by Dr. Leslie Ellis which uses these dream snippets to facilitate insight, transformation and a sense of embodied resource that you can take with you into your daily life. This group is experiential, somatically-oriented, collaborative and inclusive, with each participant contributing a dream snippet or a daydream image to work with as a group. Dreamweaving is a dreamwork specific group and is not a replacement for individual therapy. Meets online on zoom.
