I specialize in helping adolescents and adults overcome past and current trauma, including complex, early, or repetitive trauma. I also treat symptoms such as depression, anxiety, loss and grief from a trauma-focused lens. My approach to treating trauma can involve less time talking about negative past events as compared to traditional talk therapies while using organic methods where you are in control . I also specialize in working with couples experiencing conflict management issues, couple's addiction recovery, disconnection, and betrayals such as emotional or physical affairs using the Gottman Method.
My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counselling psychology. I am an EMDR trained clinician with advanced trainings including Ego State Therapy, Flash Technique, and attachment injuries and early trauma. I am trained in Gottman Method levels 1 and 2, Affairs and Trauma, and Couple's Addiction Recovery.
My approach to therapy is humanistic. If you would like to work through distressing experiences and from a method that requires less time discussing distressing experiences, you may find my trauma approaches helpful. If you are seeking therapy for couples that is based on research and structured, my couple's therapy method may be a fit.
