I am Michele Gardiner, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in good standing with the CCPA and 17 years of clinical experience supporting individuals through recovery from Anxiety, Eating and Trauma-related disorders and concurrent mental health challenges such as BD, BPD, Body Image, Communication, Depression, Dysregulation, Perfectionism, Self-Esteem, and Stress. As a therapist and human being, I appreciate how beginning therapy can feel vulnerable and strive to ease this with a warm, professional, and accepting approach that values you and your goals and focuses on helping you achieve and maintain the changes you desire in life.
The work we do together is supported by both education and experience including an MA in Counselling, BA in Psychology and Para-linguistics, and Post-graduate Certifications in the treatment of Trauma, Substance and Addictions, Anxiety Disorders, and Eating Disorders with more than 1500-Direct Supervised hours treating youth, adults and groups.

Welcome! This 6-week, skills-based therapy group focuses on helping you develop the knowledge, awareness and coping tools to increase a sense of safety in the world and within. Each phase and tool help guide you gently increasing your sense of awareness, choice, and control of distressing mental, emotional, and somatic experiences in the here-and-now applying mindfulness-based interventions combined with self-compassion and DBT. Facilitated by Michele Gardiner, a Master's level, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and registered CCC, this group runs 1x/wk for 6 wks, $25/session starting May 2024.
