In my 35 years treating depression I know how depression creates anxiety, stress, difficult relationships, and struggles with work. Depression is lonely. You hide it, and if you tell people, they make you feel it’s your fault. I understand that the core of depression is self hate. It robs joy and hope from life. You want your life to change so that you can live in peace rather than pain. I will help you see that your depression is not a disease or a weakness. It is a message that is trying to convey information about who you are and what happened in your life.
Depression is basically a false self narrative. Together we will reveal your truth and help you see and trust your essence. Through mindfulness, journalling and body awareness I will help you calm and manage feelings that overwhelm you. I will also teach you to parent yourself.
