I am a Registered Psychologist, working in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County. I provide a client-centered approach in my counselling sessions, and love to work with clients to identify unhelpful thought processes, and develop helpful cognitions, behaviours, and strategies. I am very passionate about working with concerns related to depression, anxiety, grief, emotional regulation, trauma, and psychoeducation. I have previously worked with children with Autism, and more recently with individuals who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence.
I practice from a change-focused perspective, but I believe that therapy must be developed to suit a client's needs. I have experience in a variety of therapies and modalities in order to provide a specialized service to every client. I am passionate about journeying alongside my clients to reach their desired goals!
In many ways, I am a big kid at heart, which makes relating to my younger clients very easy! I strive to make therapy as engaging as possible, and this sometimes includes references to movies, games, comic books, and most things "geeky".
