Everyone comes to therapy for different reasons. Sometimes it's a more immediate or situational concern (ie relationship breakdown), while other times therapy is sought out because of a long standing or historical issue (ie mental health diagnosis). What I have learned over my many years of practice is that it takes a tremendous amount of courage to reach out for support. But change is possible. Realizing that you are not alone in your struggles is very powerful. Having a safe and nonjudgmental space to process your concerns and establish a path forward- in a way that is meaningful to you- is what I believe every client deserves.
Finding a therapist that you feel comfortable working with is critical. While I have many professional qualifications and certifications, I feel that my greatest strength as a therapist is the ability to make clients feel seen, understood, and accepted. That is a powerful platform for change. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
