Welcome! My name is Melinda Kunyi and I am a Registered Psychologist working at ARCH Psychological Services. I obtained my Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I utilize Solution Focused Therapy along with other modalities such as Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness based therapies. I see the uniqueness of each situation and the uniqueness of each individual. Through this I believe in tailoring therapy based on individual needs. Going on a healing journey with a client is an honour and privilege.
I believe life has its challenges, peaks and valleys. The challenging times may get us stuck, and it is where we may unravel. Through this we can see the parts of ourselves that need healing and through this we can see our patterns that are calling our attention. These can be teaching points in our lives that help us grow and heal.
I believe in providing a safe environment for clients to thrive in and I utilize an empathetic, non-judgmental approach. I believe that moving beyond perceived limitations is achievable and that change is possible at any point in life.
