I offer a blend of compassion and life experience to my work as a registered clinical counsellor. I have been a mom for 23 years and married for 26 years, which offers me a deep understanding of the complexities of family life and the challenges faced at different stages. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their own experiences and uncover their strengths.
I have a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Alberta and a Master’s degree in counselling psychology from Athabasca University. I have additional training in a variety of approaches for individuals, couples, and families.
I have worked at OSNS as a behavior interventionist in the autism intervention program, One Sky Community Resources, various schools, and Penticton Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Therapeutic experiences include the support of complex trauma, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, autism, ADHD, parenting, spirituality, couples, and families.
I am an EMDR trained therapist, with additional training in recent events, C-PTSD, & EMDR for kids. Additional coursework: trauma-focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, emotionally focused therapy, EFT for families, & the Gottman approach for couples. I have completed an ACT intensive, Trauma Treatment Certification, and ADHD certification training.
