I believe that for counselling to be successful, it needs to be centred on learning from and with you, respecting and valuing your unique experiences, and learning what is important to you.
While every person will have their mental health affected at some point in their life, some at multiple points, I believe that mental health is achievable for all.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a Registered Nurse with 15 years of experience. I have specialized training working with families during the perinatal period, depression, self-esteem, people-pleasing, shame, addiction, trauma, anxiety, and neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism).
Every behaviour stems from an unmet need. It is through uncovering and claiming that need at the roots that shame can lift and change be made possible.
I will work with you to instill hope, create, and sustain change that will help you find joy, peace, and excitement in your life while recognizing your unique gifts within.
The butterfly is only beautiful because the caterpillar was brave…sometimes though, it takes another to reflect what they see before we find the courage to trust and embrace our wings.
