I believe one of the most courageous things you can do is begin to understand your own story. I remember what it feels like to be on your side of the couch, overwhelmed by the idea of sharing my most vulnerable stories. When we've hit (or passed) the point of burnout, or we have a stressful experience like a loss or traumatic event, it can be hard to imagine finding joy or fulfillment again. You deserve a space to discover your strengths, make sense of your experiences, and find a meaningful path forward.
My approach is relational, warm, nerdy, and non-judgemental. This means we can hold compassion for your current coping skills, while making space for the skills you'd like to develop. I work from a strengths-based, neurobiological, somatic, and integrated approach. We may pull from approaches such as ACT, CBT, DBT, AEDP, IFS, SE, MBSC, and SFBT.
Some of my areas of focus include working with veterans, first responders, health care workers, male survivors of sexual violence, suicidal ideation and self-harm, people dealing with the impact of trauma and PTSD, late in life ADHD diagnosis, chronic illness, as well as major life transitions. I look forward to learning more about your goals!
