I have worked with clients since 2018 on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, infertility, identity, grief, trauma, relationship or work stress, and emotion regulation.
Currently Accepting ONLINE clients. Sometimes people feel stuck in a part of their life, and don't want to be. In our sessions, we will talk about where you feel stuck, figure out how you’ve been getting through so far, and what we can do together to work toward feeling less stuck. We are all shaped by our environment and experiences, and you are the expert on you. I am honoured to hear a bit about you as you determine what you want to share with me. Throughout our time together, I will check in with you to make sure that I am understanding what you want me to know, and to do therapy at a pace that feels right to you.

As well, working with individuals who have experienced pregnancy loss and infertility.
Therapy is an opportunity to look at self and understand more about your life. At times, we encounter things that feel overwhelming or unbearable and therapy allows you to have the opportunity to have someone to support you in this struggle. My belief is that the therapeutic relationship allows a person to move through these times with more ease by having someone at your side to face these difficulties.

Throughout life, we all experience unpleasant and overwhelming emotions. We go through life trying to figure out where and how we fit into the world. I work with clients to find the barriers and connect with their personal value system. Are you seeking support with relationship concerns, ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, or prenatal/postnatal concerns? Where society sends us messages about the joy in the pre and postnatal phases, I strive to normalize the conversation about both the happy times and the overwhelming, constantly learning and finding what it means to balance different asks and ever-changing identities.

Do you often feel anxious without reason? Do you sometimes wish your mind could just stop thinking for awhile and let you enjoy inner peace? We often become victims of our own minds and emotions, struggling with the same inner and outer turmoil over and over and don’t know why. Anxiety, worry, self doubt, fear and incessant thinking aren’t caused by a single factor but a combination of things such as trauma, difficult life experiences, loss, troubled relationships and stress. Dealing with these issues, processing your feelings and learning strategies to quiet your mind will help you attain inner peace and emotional resilience

Human beings crave the comfort and closeness of relationships but can also suffer in the chaos of them. Rigid and negative patterns can develop in relationships causing disconnection and hurt. Therapy can provide unique opportunities to interrupt what is not working and repair, reimagine, and create the relationships people want and need.

Trauma, grief and pain can be overwhelming to deal with alone. Connections are built when you can be heard without prejudice or judgment. Once a strong therapeutic connection is established, healing can begin.

I’m so grateful you found your way here. I welcome whatever brings clients to the brave space of considering therapy. I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I consider it an honour to walk alongside clients as they uncover the wisdom that exists within themselves—and between one another—which can sometimes be hard to access alone. I welcome client diversity. I've worked in the arts, healthcare, non-profits and education. I've supported children, youth, adults, couples, and families across the lifespan (including youth/families in CFS, folks navigating chronic illness, blended families, newcomers, 2SLGBTQ+ folk)

Healthy relationships (including the one with ourselves) are necessary for humans to thrive. What characterizes a healthy relationship, and what influences our ability to participate in them is explored in therapy. Human beings crave attachment and connection but also engage in behaviors that can be hurtful and damaging. Therapy is about healing from the past, learning about boundaries and the process of repair, understanding patterns, self reflection, and working towards goals that are aligned with our values, desires, and needs. I am passionate about working with people of all walks of life who want to create meaningful change.

How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?
Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.

How does therapy for infertility issues work?
The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.

What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?
Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.

How long does therapy for infertility issues take?
There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
