Most of my experience is working in crisis & trauma- however I work with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting, grief, etc
My job is not to “walk along side you”, my job is to help you dissect, uncover, explore emotions, feel your feelings & discover narratives you’ve attached to them. I do this with you by using modalities such as Emotion Focused therapy with Attachment theory & Narrative therapy. In addition to talk therapy the Somatic experience (somatic nervous system) is just as important. I hold space for your somatic experience and in turn, you learn that it’s safe to hold space for your own somatic experience, too.

As a marriage and family therapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families, including children and teens.
Is there a gap between where you feel you are now, and where you want to be? We all have times in our lives when we feel things just aren't working anymore. If you desire connection and a place to feel understood, gain insights, and make changes, take the first step, and call for an appointment. There are many times in our lives when therapy can make a big difference. Suffering is a fact of life, but there is a way out of suffering. If you are interested in taking that journey, I can point you in the right direction, and walk with you for a time.

I work with people carrying heavy, ongoing burdens—chronic illness or pain, prolonged grief, trauma's lasting echoes, or circumstances that simply won't resolve. You may feel exhausted just getting through each day, wondering if a fuller, more meaningful life is still possible. My focus is on helping you shift from merely coping (or struggling to cope) to truly thriving: building practical skills, inner strength, and enduring sources of joy alongside the hardship.

Therapy can offer them opportunities to make sense of their experiences, understand more about how things had happened, and rebuild relationships among themselves and others.
My approach in therapy is client-centred, trauma-informed, and attachment-based. I value self-compassion, awareness, acceptance and congruence. Change is always possible, and it is never too late to have a change. By being with my clients, we may rediscover our inner strengths and beauties. My clients often exclaim, "This is me."

We all want to live with meaning and purpose—to be authentic, compassionate, accepting, patient, and forgiving with ourselves and the people in our lives. Sometimes difficult life experiences can cause us to lose sight of this genuine way of being, so we become closed off from ourselves and others. In other words, we feel stuck… As a therapist, I offer helpful options to getting unstuck. Together we will begin to explore and understand what has contributed to these blocks, as well as uncovering and applying strengths, resources, and skills towards a solution.

“There will always be someone who can’t see your worth. Don’t let it be you.” My vision is to provide you with a safe and comforting space where you can express yourself in an authentic way, free of judgment. There is not one single reason or set of issues that may lead a person to seek help, the human experience can be an exhausting one and often times we feel alone. I am here to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, to learn new techniques that will help you overcome challenges, and to support you on your journey. Together we will influence your mind to work for you and not against you.

Whether you are grappling with past or present experiences and their current effects on your life and relationships; a crisis; day to day stressors and/or anxiety; relationship difficulties; a major (or minor) life transition; or grief and loss, you are absolutely worth investing the time and energy in to move forward in your preferred way of being and living.
A warm and safe space, with a touch of humor, will enable you to share your story and identify dynamics and patterns that are unhelpful, or helpful, to you. We will work together so you can make sense of, overcome, or better manage any difficulties you are experiencing. Clients have expressed how easy it is to talk with me about anything and everything.

I specialize in issues of self-esteem (that critical voice that cuts us down!), eating disorders, grief, and personal and relationship transitions.
Each challenging moment provides an opportunity to slow down, reflect and to integrate what life hands us. Sometimes this is messy, often it is hardship, but my hope is to walk alongside my clients and to see them through to what is next, hopefully with a renewed sense of strength, self-acceptance and awareness. I've worked for the provincial Eating Disorder Program, Family/Parenting Centre and in Community based Women's Health services. These experiences have provided me with a deep respect and admiration for my clients' strength and resilience.
