If you notice anxiety, tension, or emotional triggers interfering with your daily life, therapy can help you find relief.
Through EMDR therapy and imaginal nurturing, I guide clients to revisit these memories safely, offering a corrective, nurturing experience for their younger self. Over time, this approach can help restore a sense of safety, self-compassion, and connection that trauma may have disrupted.

We all face times of struggle in our lives. Even those of us who look like we have our act together on the outside might be quietly suffering on the inside.
Perhaps you've tried talking to loved ones, reading self-help books, or asking AI, but clarity or relief continue to escape you. You want to feel better, but just can't seem to find your footing.

I specialize in high sensitivity, self-regulation (including self-injury, self-esteem, impulse control, disordered eating, suicidal ideation), mental health and wellness (including depression, anxiety, PTSD, BPD), grief and loss, stress and life transitions, and have a solid grounding in neurodiversity and developmental differences.
I believe that you carry inherent wisdom about yourself and your needs, and that my role is to approach you with curiosity, respect and validation. If I am invited to join you on your wellness journey I will help you explore your hopes as well as to develop a stronger sense of self-knowledge, self-compassion, and personal wellness. This may be achieved through exploring and altering thought patterns and personal narratives, exploring your relationship with emotions, becoming more in-tuned to your body sensations, exploring attachment and relationship patterns, and considering which coping strategies and behavioral patterns promote wellness or are constricting.

I can work with a variety of challenges, including life transitions, growth, grief, anxiety, and repair in relationships, to name a few.
Sometimes it feels like the world wants us to keep on hustling, and it gets overwhelming to hold. Maybe you've just been going through the motions, and it's getting to be too fast and too much, and you don't know how to slow down - or what slowing down even looks like.
It could look like a quiet, safe space to talk and sort out your thoughts.
It could look like a guided session where we make plans for you to take action.
Maybe you don't know what you need, just that you need something, and so it can look like an intentional pause, so you can take a breath before you keep going.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.
What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.
How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.
How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
