About
Hi, I’m Maya – I’m so glad you’re here, taking this step in finding a therapist to support you and your needs. I use a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to create a safe, warm, and compassionate space for you to develop further insight into yourself – past challenges, current thought patterns, and difficult emotions. We will work together to identify your goals for therapy; in doing so my hope is to help you increase your awareness of and compassion for challenges you may experience, and support you to feel empowered in making helpful and hopeful shifts in your own life, one day at a time.
My areas of specialization include working with women who have experiences of trauma, and supporting individuals with symptoms of depression and anxiety. I use a variety of evidence-based therapy modalities (CBT, DBT) as well as psychoeducation to inform our work together and help meet your needs each session.
Finding the right fit in a therapist is a significant and important part of your therapy work. I offer a complimentary phone conversation as well as our first session at a reduced rate to help you determine if you will feel comfortable, supported, and understood while working together in a client-therapist relationship. I look forward to connecting with you.
