Is there something difficult in your life that you've thought about countless times, but can't seem to shift? Would it help to have someone to look at it with, someone who's curious about your perspective and sees it from a slightly different angle? It can be scary to imagine unpacking and examining how we relate to others and ourselves: it often involves exploring where we've been in order to understand where we are and where we're headed. If you're up for the adventure, I'd like to be a fellow explorer; a curious companion who strives to be well-provisioned in support of the journey ahead.
I'm trained in Relational Psychotherapy, a modality that seeks to help people to understand themselves in relationship with others; past, present and future. With an additional background in Comparative Literature, I often find it helpful to use a Narrative approach to carefully examine the stories we have been telling ourselves about the journey so far.
These questions might have sparked some interest in you, and this is an invitation to pursue that interest. I offer no-charge Initial Consultations, because I think it's a good idea to talk a bit with someone before you decide if you can travel any real distance together. I wonder what we'll discover?
