Accepting new clients as of January 2026. Welcome to Breaking Trail Counselling Services, my name is Matt. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT). I offer individual counselling services and have experience working with adults who are looking for support for various reasons including trauma, anxiety and depression. I offer in person sessions as well as video counselling.
My approach to counselling is to provide a non-judgmental space and to work collaboratively with you on your healing journey. I believe in meeting clients where they are and respecting their goals and what they chose to bring to sessions. I strive to provide an inclusive space for all clients I have the privilege of working with.
I use an integrative approach to therapy and will work with you to find the approach that is the best fit for you.
I’ve completed Level 1 training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy through the IFS Institute. I really enjoy using this approach with clients, as it helps them explore their inner world with more self-understanding and compassion.
