Whether it is to express emotions, regain power over your life or find tools for personal growth, which differentiates drama therapy from other forms of "psycho-therapy which are generally focused on speech "is that in dramatherapy, in addition to using words, we also use expressive tools that can pass through the whole body: projective techniques, bodily movements, breathing and mindfulness exercises, creation of rituals, creation of stories, improvisations, theory and method of roles, etc. The exploration process become therapeutic in itself.
Dramatherapy is a form of active and experiential therapy, suitable for all types of clients. It intentionally uses techniques from theater (story telling, role playing, improvisation, puppets, projective techniques, sandtray and miniatures...) for therapeutic purposes. It is a humanistic, creative and person-centered approach, allowing self-exploration.
