I am a bilingual Registered Psychotherapist and Professional Art Therapist. I offer both talk and art therapy, you get a personalized treatment plan, according to your needs and goals. I utilize art as a means of holistic expression and believe in the potential for positive and continuous growth and change for everyone. I use art/talk therapy to explore and process unpack thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive space. My approach uses Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Acceptance & Committment Therapy. My thesis on ABI is published with American Art Therapy Association.
Art therapy combines the creative process and psychotherapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. Using imagery, colour and shape as part of this creative therapeutic process, thoughts and feelings can be expressed that would otherwise be difficult to articulate. No specific artistic talent is required, just let your imagination lead the way.
As a therapist, I will: Remind you that you aren't broken. Give you room to access your own wisdom. Support you in figuring out what to do. Recognize that you are the expert on your own life. Remember that only you know what is best for you. Honor that I don't know it all. Collaborate with you on how to make the hard stuff easier to sit with.
