I have worked as a clinician for over 25 years. I have considerable experience with family, couples and individual therapy. Working with addictions, mental health, trauma, and youth related issues are strong areas of interest. As a clinical traumatologist and an Advanced Clinical Supervisor, I have specific interest and extensive training in trauma.
A significant component of my private practice is couples and family therapy. Couples therapy is an opportunity to help couples that are simply stuck move towards resolution and rediscover a meaningful relationship. There are times where resolution may not be the goal for both parties. Mediation services are also available.
During my 20 years of clinical practice, I have been employed in several areas of addictions treatment, specifically providing clinical therapy to individuals, couples and families. I also worked as a clinician for child and adolescent mental health. As a result of this experience, I able to effectively assist individuals with depression, anxiety, and addictions
My practice is guided through a trauma informed approach. Identifying peoples strengths, skills and abilities are at the heart of what grounds my clinical practice. I believe that every client I see has the potential and possibility of change. Being solution focused and not problem focused assists people in the change process!
