Accepting new clients - Although challenges are part of life, they can be overwhelming and can lead us to feeling isolated and disconnected from the things we love most about life. A confidential & non-judgmental space to explore your issues can be extremely helpful in healing and getting what you want out of your life. I believe healing happens best in a space where you feel valued, understood and empowered. My practice is based on these principles: relationships matter, non-judgement is paramount, you are in charge of your healing path, trauma-informed care, cultural safety, and you have the power to 're-author' your life story.
I have extensive experience with youth, teens, and adults dealing with a range of issues including (but not only) intergenerational and complex trauma, suicidality, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and family conflict. I use a variety of methods to support each person's needs, including Attachment, Internal Family Systems, Narrative therapy, CBT & CPT, and others.
In addition to my practice, I am a PhD Candidate and instructor in Social Work with the University of Manitoba. My research is focused on youth mental health, violence and suicide. I commit to continually learning and growing as a helper, and I count myself fortunate to support my clients as they work through their challenges and create the lives they want.
