Hi, I’m Marla, a Queer, gender-defiant (they/them), polyamorous relationship therapist and educator specialized in nonmonogamy (polyamory, relationship anarchy, open relationships etc.). I work predominantly with couples and non constellations (partnerships of more than 2). Accessible, wholistic, non-judgmental services are essential to my practice - which is informed by anti-oppression, anti-racist, social justice, and intersectional feminist philosophies. I aim to co-create respectful, safer spaces where peoples’ identities are understood within the framework of their own experiences and social context.
Building healthy communication skills is a paramount feature of my practice! My approach varies depending on the unique needs of the people with whom I collaborate. I aim to begin from a place of curiosity, making sure that you are leading the session. I tend to start with a relational/talk-based style and incorporate alternative techniques where applicable.
