I have experience working with the following: Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, OCD, ADD/ADHD, suicidal ideation, self-harm, addiction, trauma/PTSD, loss/grief/bereavement. I support my client's while they process out their trauma and help them to learn coping for their mental health struggles. I use a holistic approach and incorporate the four quadrants of health: Mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Being mindful of each client's individual and unique needs. I am approved as a mental health counsellor for both NIHB as well as Victim's Services.
I use a trauma informed approach and have training in Somatic Experiencing, as well as critical incident debriefing. I am trained in basic Accelerated Resolution Therapy and have been successfully helping people to heal and get quality back in their lives.
I am a registered psychiatric nurse with 10+ years of experience working in emergency, acute and community mental health care. I believe that each person has the capacity to heal and to do this they need a space that they can feel safe and supported in. I make sure that the space is all inclusive and free from judgement and fear.
