I provide counselling to adults, adolescents, families and couples. Many people who seek counselling do so with a particular challenge or problem in mind. Issues and concerns that bring us to counselling often broaden as the counselling process unfolds. People are often surprised that once they begin this process and discuss a particular issue, other concerns can also be recognized and explored within this confidential client/counsellor (therapeutic) relationship.
The process of counselling often reveals many behaviors, thoughts, feelings and physiological responses that can stand in the way of well being. I have worked with people experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship and work issues, gender diversity, grief and bereavement , stress and self esteem.
My hope is that within a gentle and compassionate environment, that encourages self evaluation and clarity, a client's self awareness and capacity for a more fulfilling life can be realized. With this process the client leaves therapy with tools and skills enabling them to move forward more effectively.
