As an existential therapist, I aim to help clients face themselves rather than fix themselves.
This involves a process of honest self-confrontation that is immersive, introspective, and often demanding. Existential therapy calls for personal courage, emotional openness, and a willingness to engage with difficult truths. Clients are invited to question long-held assumptions, challenge limiting narratives, and examine inner contradictions. This work asks them to look closely at how they are showing up in their lives, confront avoidance and denial, and take full responsibility for the shape and direction of their existence.
Clarity, not comfort, is at the heart of this work. Existential therapy does not resolve life’s uncertainties, but helps clients engage with them more honestly and deliberately. The aim is not to look for quick solutions, but to deepen the relationship with one's values, choices and limitations—and to live with greater awareness, intention and authenticity.
This approach to therapy emphasizes depth and reflection, making it suitable for those with emotional stability and readiness for self-exploration. It is not intended for crisis intervention or treatment of acute conditions (e.g., PTSD, addictions, or complex trauma), but for those seeking deeper self-understanding and a stronger sense of personal agency.
