I spent about 10 years in the highest burnout sectors of social work. From this experience, I have developed a keen trauma-informed perspective, supporting populations navigating systemic barriers and compounded complex mental health. I have also worked with a large breadth of mental health diagnoses, within every category of the DSM, from a client-centered and strengths based framework. With this experience, and practicing therapy modalities that are transferable to various mental health difficulties, I would say that I am a generalist.
If you are looking for a queer therapist in the trans community to support you in your gender journey, or navigating burnout in your life, I bring particular expertise to these areas from personal and professional experience. When difficulties block access to our values, finding a means towards fulfillment can be difficult to see.
The gap between what we want for ourselves and how it currently is can feel so insurmountable that initial steps feel futile. As someone with ADHD and who supports others with this diagnosis, developing strategies and interventions towards accessible steps is my specialty. I see my role as providing tools to manage painful feelings and develop strategies.
