I am a registered social worker with 16 years of experience in providing individual and family therapy in various mental health settings. I support individuals and families with interpersonal challenges, mental health concerns, addressing childhood trauma, work stress, life transitions and emotional concerns. My work is focused on compassionately exploring and transforming deeply rooted, unsettling patterns in relationship with self and others. I foster therapeutic relationship where my clients feel deeply understood. I focus on integrating relational, emotional, cognitive and somatic experiences to facilitate meaningful change.
I am extensively trained and experienced in providing trauma, attachment and somatically (body) focused therapy. As well, I work with psychodynamic and psychoanalytic modalities to facilitate a deeper self awareness, insight, full range of emotional expression, exploration of the unconscious, relationship development and improved emotional regulation.
We will explore your family history to learn about patterns and experiences that contributed to your present struggles. We will mindfully pay attention to how these patterns currently present in your body and your daily life. This process is helpful with time in helping you reconnect to your authentic self and promotes self development and healing.
