Dr. Fodor has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University where her research focused on health in underserved communities. She completed pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). There she worked in the Addiction Support Services and with 2SLGBTQ+ individuals recovering from trauma and addiction in Rainbow Services. She also led therapy groups in dialectical behavioural therapy for mood/anxiety disorders and trauma. Dr. Fodor's therapeutic approach is compassionate, inclusive, culturally sensitive and affirmative to all gender identities and sexual orientations.
Dr. Fodor's work incorporates a variety of theoretical approaches and evidence-based treatments including: Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) Mindfulness, Positive psychology, and Trauma-informed psychotherapy.
Dr. Fodor works with clients who have a wide range of treatment goals and presentations including: anxiety and panic, depression, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal conflict, insomnia, life transitions, procrastination, trauma, self-esteem issues, stress and burnout, substance use (alcohol and cannabis), women's issues and ADHD coaching.
