Hello and welcome, my name is Mariana and I am a registered social worker in Ontario and B.C, working with the Healing Recovery Centre. My intention is to offer a tender, non-judgemental and empathetic space where you can just be. Whether it's exploring your world, the patterns in your life or discovering new ways to cope, I am here to support you as you gain insight, understanding and compassion for yourself. I specialize in working with teens, adults and caregivers who have experienced or are supporting a loved one experiencing: Eating Disorders,
Disordered Eating, Emotion Regulation difficulties, perfectionism and self-criticism. I am passionate about supporting super-feelers, people who are wired to feel their emotions/environment deeply. I have extensive training/experience offering Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and relationally informed treatment.
I aim to blend clinical treatment with other holistic practices such as yoga, mindfulness and cold therapy. Taking the first step toward your therapy and healing journey can be both courageous and challenging.
