Hi ! I’m Mariah (she/her). I offer in person sessions in Pitt Meadows, as well as virtual or phone sessions. I'm a mother, dog lover, gardener, first responder spouse, and doughnut connoisseur. The foundation of my therapeutic approach is relational. This means I prioritize the relationship between us, as I believe it sets the foundation for our work. I draw from somatic and emotion focused practices. Meaning we will notice emerging emotions, and how you experience them in your physical body. I also bring gentleness, moments of shared humor (I am really good at making myself laugh), and a spirit of collaboration.

I aim to offer a non-judgmental and inclusive space, and I welcome and affirm folks of all identities and backgrounds in my practice. I work with individuals across the lifespan, including children (3+), youth, and adults. My areas of focus include first responders, self harm, and play therapy. I also see individuals navigating other life difficulties.

I am especially passionate about supporting children as well as first responders. With children, I use a play-based and child-led approach. As a first responder’s spouse, I have a personal understanding and connection to the unique first responder culture. It’s an honour to walk alongside first responders and their loved ones.

As a first responder's spouse, I am particularly interested in working with first responders and their families. I have completed training for working with first responders, including Inter-Provincial Occupational Awareness Training as well as Introduction to Trauma Exposed Professionals through Warrior Health. I have also completed BOS (Before Operational Stress) training.
