I have been practising as a psychologist and specializing in couple and family therapy since 1995. What I find most fulfilling in my practice is helping individuals and couples create more safety and connection in their relationships by gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and how they relate to one another. Because one approach does not work with all couples, I have made it a point to be well versed in a variety of different approaches and techniques in order to tailor my work to the couple's specific needs.
I have worked as a psychologist for 32 years with a very diverse multicultural population. I have a specialty in couple and family therapy. When appropriate, I use EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) which has been proven in numerous research studies to be highly effective in producing lasting change for couples. I also specialize in working with infidelity.
Significant world political tension and polarization have increased the strain on both individual wellbeing and on couple relationships. Consequently, we are seeing an increase in the incidence of depression, anxiety and relationship conflict. Understandably, these extreme circumstances have created a much higher demand for mental health services.
