Life can be hard. We all go through times when the daily tasks of living seem overwhelming and the joy we used to feel is gone. Many of us try to tough it out. We put on a good face to the outside world but inside we are in despair. If this sounds like you and you're ready to make a change, therapy can help. I work with adults and older teens who are suffering from a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma and career issues.
Together we will explore the issues that are holding you back in a safe and non-judgmental environment and figure out ways to get you back on track. Maybe you will learn coping skills or need help problem solving an issue, or maybe we need to deconstruct your past to learn about the patterns of behaviour that are no longer useful in your life.
I use a variety of approaches to help you reach your therapy goals including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is similar to EMDR. Therapy is a process of discovery and learning, and you play an active role. This can be hard sometimes, but I'll be with you every step of the way to help you achieve the life you want.
