Having grown up in Wiarton, I have seen the changes and challenges with rural living first hand, and I know that sometimes all we need is someone to walk with us through the challenging moments of our day to day lives. When working with clients, the most important thing for me to do is LISTEN. You are the writer of your own story and you know best what it is your are looking for from our relationship. I promise to do my best to challenge you, support you, and cheer you on as you look within yourself to find the answers and see the change that you are seeking. One thing I know for sure is, people are strong and resilient.
I have worked with many different people, in many environments, and the things that I know I can bring to the counselling relationship are compassion, empathy, experience, and grace. I will work with you to define your goals and give you space to learn what you need to grow. I draw from a range of theories in my work with clients; including DBT and CBT.
I believe that we are constantly learning and growing and, as I meet and work with new clients, I know that we will all learn and grow alongside each other. I am so grateful that you have put your trust in me and hope that you will feel supported and encouraged while we work together.
