About
Over the past fifteen years, I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. As a registered social worker, I use a strength-based approach to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger management, difficulties in relationships – including parent / child relationships, struggles with self-esteem, improving coping strategies, and more. My clinical work includes (but is not limited to) working extensively with youth and their families in regards to understanding family culture / dynamics, effective communication, practicing validation, relationship mindfulness skills, and emotion management.
My hope is to provide a brave and safe space for my clients as we unpack parts of their story together. My practice is inspired by a client-centred approach with training in therapeutic modalities including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Family Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Foundational to my practice is the belief in each individual’s ability to change for the better and the inclusion of culturally sensitive therapy. In the spirit of owning our stories and the desire to live life wholeheartedly, my hope is to help clients embrace life’s messy moments and work on creating a plan towards living a life of gratitude and meaning.
