About
I am NOT taking new clients at the moment. It can be hard to enjoy life, especially when our automatic reactions and thoughts are problematic or painful. It can feel like our lives are "stuck" on autopilot. I enjoy helping people cope and to get "unstuck" from symptoms of overwhelm. By reducing stress within our nervous system, we may better manage our responsibilities, increase our immune system, and recover our health easier. Therapy can help restore an inner calm and can help you come back to yourself.
Traumatic and painful events, such as illness, car accidents, losses, and the unexpected, can result in a decreased ability to feel satisfaction or pleasure. Using scientifically-based somatic therapy, together we can work toward increasing your ability to manage stress, reduce medical discomfort, make decisions, change habits, and repair relationships.
I bring compassion humour to therapy. I am not a silent, nodding therapist; instead, I engage warmly and candidly. I hope my clients feel engaged and eager to work. If you want to work on a specific issue or a nameless "stuckness", reach out. Also, together we can work on coping with strong emotions, improving relationships or just trying somatic therapy,
